Spa Day Birthday Theme
If you have a school-aged daughter, this one's for you! A Spa Day theme is perfect for pampering the girls who normally are begging to be just like Mom.
To start, I had pink satin robes hanging on a clothes rack for each girl to put on. https://amzn.to/4y0B9jx This created a special entrance for the party to signal that the pampering has begun.
Next, I created the viral "Dirty Soda Bar" with mini Sprite cans available that fit perfectly into the cute, girly disposable cups with lids and straws (less cleanup). https://amzn.to/3SP60QR
These cups, lids, and straws fit perfectly in this clear acrylic holder. https://amzn.to/4rhzyTJ
I ordered these Torani Flavored Drink Syrups ( https://amzn.to/4gXwxoh) and pumps( https://amzn.to/4Axo02Q) , which the girls LOVED! It does require adult supervision since it adds extra sugar. These are large bottles which is not needed if it is not a large event. I have kept the leftover syrups at home for continued use on different beverages.
After lunch and the mocktail, the girls were eagerly awaiting their spa day experience. I had a mani/pedicure station setup separately from the facial station. This helped ensure that the water and nail polish did not spill onto the carpeted areas where I had the sofas for the facials.
The Nail Station included everything that was disposable and arranged for each girl to have her own setup. She could then take home all of her items for continued use. Every girl couldn’t believe that they were able to keep all of these things! The parents have told me that they are still using them! I did not include that glitter containers or fake nails that were included as I did not want any additional mess. However, I did have the nail stickers and hair clip- ins on a table for the girls to choose.
To add to the fun of the “pedicure foot soak”, I let the girls pick one bath bomb to get the bubbling experience like a real pedicure (without the cleaning aspect). Tip: Do not let the feet soak very long in this, otherwise there will be temporary skin staining from the concentrated color in the water. https://amzn.to/4y09uPK
To make for a quicker setup, I used this portable air pump to inflate the foot bath stations. https://amzn.to/4cOUj3i.
I used the white towels provided in the facial spa set to dry their feet since they were smaller. I used the pink towels provided in the nail stations for the headrests at the Facial Station.
For the nail polish, I had all of the colors set out on a table for the girls to choose from. I used the Barbie Nail Polish Set. https://amzn.to/4irMDHQ . I also did not set out the glitter either here for less potential mess.
The Facial Station followed after the girls slowly walked over with their disposable flip flops to make sure their nails didn’t get messed up in the drying process.
Here, I used the pink towels (provided in the pedicure set) on the sofa to indicate the headrest for each girl. This helped show the girls where to sit.
I used this Spa Set https://amzn.to/476eV3u . It includes everything to have a facial even the headbands and scruncies for their hair not to get in the way. Again, they were able to take all of these items home! My daughter helped me design and personalize their plastic zippered bags for each girl with her name by adding a UV DTF sticker.
I used this Kids face wash https://amzn.to/4h8FTw1 which came recommended by my esthetician for sensitive skin. I provided just a small amount to the parents and had them help watch for any skin reaction.
I used these disposable facial towels instead of the ones provided due to the fact that I know children have sensitive skin. I was able to pass them out to the parents to help wet and wipe off any cleanser left on the face. https://amzn.to/46tJ2BO .
Finally, I used these moisturizing sheet masks from Patchology which also came recommended from my esthetician. https://amzn.to/4yFsLWo They came individually packaged so each parent just had to open, unfold, and place them onto their child’s face. The girls of course did not sit still for too long, but did enjoy using their mirrors to look at their face masks.
